LOVE, FAITH & STEWARDSHIP

“Verily, I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away until all that has been hidden is brought again into the light, for it is the epoch for the fulfillment of promise.”

Baptisms in Bethany

CHAPTER 18

Yeshua baptizes his disciples and gives them the authority to go out and baptize those who have made a full and contrite repentance for the sins of their past; and have committed in their heart and with their words to obey the 12 Commandments of Sinai and to fully live in the light of Elohim. Many others desire to be baptized by Yeshua but he only baptizes Lazarus because he is the only one that is ready at that time. However, the following day Miriam and Yeshua’s other disciples baptize many of the people.

Early the following morning, before a crowd came again from Jerusalem, Yeshua and Miriam and the disciples departed for the home of Miriam’s parents in nearby Bethany.
Lazarus was at home when they arrived and after a meal shared in common by all, Yeshua asked his four friends from Bethsaida to come with him to the large pool in the garden that was fed by a small enclosed stream of water, and he said unto them, “Yesterday I spoke to Nicodemus about being born again of the water and the spirit, and if you would be my disciples you must also be born again of the water and fire.
Baptism is a sacred covenant given before witnesses, that you have repented of your old ways of darkness and henceforth you will walk only the greater path of the Celestine Light of Elohim.
Cephas stepped immediately into the pool; the water came up to his thighs and he said, “I am ready to be born again Yeshua, baptize me.”
Then Yeshua stepped into the pool and stood beside Cephas. He turned and spoke to his disciples and the family and friends of Lazarus that had quickly gathered at word of Yeshua’s arrival, saying, “Let there be no confusion. Take this covenant with your eyes wide open and your heart full of joy.
To be baptized in the water is to renounce and bury the dark ways of your old life, and rise and be born again, dedicated to living in the Celestine Light of Elohim.”
Yeshua turned and faced Cephas, saying, “Are you at this place in your heart?”
Cephas grasped him by both arms and looked into his eyes, saying, “You know my heart; you know that my old life is dust; you know that my only desire is to live and serve in the light of Elohim.”
Yeshua smiled and said unto him, “Yes Cephas, your heart is true, you are like a rock of abiding faith, and upon such rocks shall the torch of Elohim stand to illuminate the world.”
Then Yeshua placed the left hand of Cephas on his left forearm, and held the right hand of Cephas in his upturned palm.
Yeshua raised his right hand to form a square and said, “With the purity of your heart as the witness of your soul, I immerse you in water that you will come forth with a greater love of God, to ever guide you upon the path of light. By the word of Elohim, so be it,” and straight away he immersed him completely under the water, than raised him out of the water.
And Cephas came up out of the water all aglow even as Miriam had been when Yeshua baptized her.
Cephas stepped out of the pool and embraced his brother and friends, and one by one each of the disciples, except Miriam and Philip who had already been baptized, came into the pool and were baptized in the same manner by Yeshua.
Then Yeshua said to his disciples, “As you have seen me do, I charge you to do likewise; and with the authority of Elohim you shall baptize; but only those who have made a full and contrite repentance for the sins of their past; and have committed in their heart and with their words to obey the Twelve Commandments and to fully live in the light of Elohim.”
Then many of the people that had witnessed the baptisms of the disciples came forward and desired Yeshua to also baptize them, and he said unto them, “The heavens rejoice that you desire to be baptized, but there is only one more among you whose heart is ready today.”
Yeshua turned to Lazarus and beckoned him into the pool; and Lazarus came and stood beside him.
“Why me and no others?” questioned Lazarus.
And Yeshua said unto him, “You have been by my side more than any other save Miriam and Yochanan.
You have proved by the choices in your life that you follow the Celestine Light and that you have become the light that you have followed.”
Then Yeshua baptized Lazarus in the same manner as he had done with the disciples.
After Lazarus had come out of the water in joy and stepped out of the pool to embrace his family and the disciples, Yeshua turned to the remaining people, who numbered about fifty men and women, and said unto them, “What you have witnessed here today is a sacred ordinance. It is a covenant with Elohim, not taken lightly, to forsake the darkness that is in you, and to hereafter walk only in the pure Celestine Light of Elohim.
You can only forsake the darkness with a sincere and contrite repentance for the sins you have done in your life; repentance for the sins you have done in opposition to the commandments of Elohim; repentance for the sins committed against your wife or husband; repentance for the sins against your parents, your brothers, your sisters and your children; repentance for the sins against your neighbors; repentance for the sins against those you work with or sell to or buy from; and repentance for the sins against yourself and the temple of your body.
Go now, each to your own home. Ponder upon the words I have said.
Pray to Elohim and express your sorrow for the darkness that has been in you and ask God to forgive you.
Where you have sinned against others, make it right by word and deed and ask forgiveness from those you have wronged.
Seek out Elohim again in prayer and promise to keep the Twelve Commandments of Sinai as my disciples have taught, and to walk only in the Celestine Light all the rest of your days.
Those who hear my words and do them, come again to this place on the morrow that you might be born again of the water and embrace the everlasting light that fills you up.”
Then the people departed, and many went and did as Yeshua bade them do.
The next day people began to gather early at the house of the parents of Lazarus, and thirty-eight of the people from the previous day came forth to be baptized.
Yeshua baptized none, but asked each of his disciples to baptize some of the people.
Lazarus baptized his parents, and Miriam baptized two women and a young man, for Yeshua desired all to understand that the authority rested not only upon the shoulders of men, but upon all who had been called of God.
And because those who were baptized had only the love and light of God in their hearts, there was no objection because of Miriam, but only joy; and everyone knew they were witness to something great and marvelous among the Children of Israel.”
